Based at LB Healthcare in Whiteley, Hampshire Health and Hormones led by Dr Katherine Hodgkinson, run a clinic to identify hormone deficiencies which can then be replenished with the aid of tailored bio-identical hormone replacement therapy.
Dr Katherine Hodgkinson is a GP with a special interest in lifestyle medicine. Committed to prioritising preventative strategies for improving health, she has a particular interest in the effects of hormones on the body, and in solutions for weight loss through nutrition and lifestyle.
Doctor Hodgkinsonʼs experience as a GP has given her insight into the hugely varied range of factors that influence the health and wellbeing of patients, and the way that conventional medicine does not always fully address these factors. An interest in lifestyle medicine has been enhanced by work advising and monitoring patients on weight loss programmes for patients and identifying and administering bioidentical HRT.
With first hand experience of the many positive and life changing effects that weight loss, hormone rebalancing, dietary changes, lifestyle adjustments and exercise have had on patients, including improved physical, psychological and social wellbeing, Doctor Hodgkinson is dedicated to helping men and women address hormone deficiencies, implement supplementation and lifestyle adjustments and improve their health and wellbeing.
Trained through the academy of Dr Marion Gluck, the world renowned expert and pioneer of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy in the UK, Dr Hodgkinson has an extensive medical background with a wide knowledge base.
Dr Hodgkinson graduated from St. Georgeʼs Hospital Medical School, London in 2002. She worked in a variety of specialities including paediatrics, sexual health, elderly care, emergency medicine and psychiatry as part of her training. She completed GP training in 2008 and has diplomas in obstetrics and gynaecology, family planning, and child heath.
Dr Hodgkinson currently works as a private and NHS GP in Hampshire, and also as a doctor in Surrey, initiating and monitoring patients on bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), and overseeing patients on a weight loss programme. Outside of work she can be found spending time with her 2 cheeky boys, out on the water or running through the beautiful Hampshire countryside!
